The elegance of the cutlery is measured when, table spoon, table fork and table knife, together with the teaspoon, are harmoniously tied, with respect to their dimensions, creating the perfect harmony on table, where each piece lives and works together.

The surface treatment that gives the colour is a PVD process (Physical Vapour Deposition). Ions of titanium nitride and zirconium nitride are deposited on the surface of the cutlery through a vacuum process.

This technology has been developed for the aeronautic industry and is used to cover the shuttles panels to make them more resistant.

This technology has found an application in the professional flatware business to satisfy the demand of hotels and restaurants that are looking for heavy duty gold-plated cutlery.

What is PVD?

PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is an advanced process that bonds a thin, extremely resistant layer of colour to the surface of the steel. The result is a finish that brings new character to the table, available in Gold, Black Gold,
Bronze, Champagne and Rainbow.

Beyond its beauty, PVD is a responsible choice. The process uses no harmful chemicals, and the coating is hypoallergenic, making it suitable even for those with metal sensitivities. It is also remarkably durable: it does not fade, chip or discolour, even after repeated dishwasher cycles. A slightly lighter area on the handle, where the piece rests during coating, is simply a natural trace of the process.
How are the different colors applied?

The colors gold, bronze, black, champagne and rainbow are applied using PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition), a vacuum-based coating process in which titanium nitride and other metal nitrides are deposited onto the surface of the cutlery.

Originally developed for the aerospace industry, PVD technology provides exceptional durability and is widely used for professional cutlery. The coating offers high surface hardness for excellent scratch resistance, is food-safe and corrosion-resistant, and makes the cutlery easier to clean. The colors are designed to remain stable and resist fading over time.
How do I care for a colored finish?

Wash with a mild detergent and avoid abrasive sponges or aggressive cleaning agents. Do not leave the pieces in water for long periods.
Do you offer black matt cutlery?

Yes we do, but only upon request. It is priced 10% higher than our polished black cutlery. To place an order, please contact us at [email protected].
Will the gold finish wear off over time?

No. The finish is applied with a PVD treatment: a coating that is bonded to the steel at a molecular level. With normal use and care it keeps its colour for the lifetime of the piece.
